About Us
Beauregard Arc is a licensed day program provider and has provided services to the developmentally disabled since 1963.
BArc provides work, work training and life skills training for developmentally disabled adults which enhances the lives of our participants and allows them to be seen as productive and active citizens in the community.
We believe that each individual is a person of worth and value. Each person has individual skills, talents and strengths which they contribute to the community.
Our participants work in the following areas:
Sewing group - making chairback bookbags, pot holders, potato sacks & mending along with sewing patches on jackets, vests, uniforms, etc.
Lawn Maintenance crew - mowing yards, raking leaves, etc. for businesses & individuals
City Maintenance crew - Contract to keep the City of DeRidder's streets clean
Recycling Groups - Cardboard pick-up for businesses; Recycle drop off for city for cardboard, books, newspapers, aluminum cans, tin, copper; Shredding for individuals and businesses at a nominal cost. Plastic Recycling is available again for # 1 and # 2 quality plastics. You can find the number on the bottom of the products.
Daily Skills Learning Group - Guidance in daily life skills.
